Aké, Cahill, David Luiz try to cook Singaporean food; what could possibly go wrong?

Match the players with their results — soggy, spicy, overcooked — before watching!

Chelsea will be heading to Singapore next month as part of pre-season preparations for 2017-18, and to begin the build-up for that tour, the club organized a fun little challenge for three lucky contestants, one lucky coach, and one unlucky chef, who had to supervise this whole mess.

Cooking challenges are nothing new around Cobham. There was one just last season with N’Golo Kanté, Kurt Zouma and Ruben Loftus-Cheek and there’s of course the famous cook-off with Petr Čech and Mikel John Obi trying to impress Carlo Ancelotti and Christophe Lollichon — that one is worth the watch every time.

In any case, this time it’s Gary Cahill, David Luiz, and Nathan Aké stepping up to try their hand at a bit of wok magic, with celebrity judge Carlo Cudicini delivering the verdict alongside the chef himself. While there’s no clear winner other him not being Gary Cahill, Nathan Aké looked by far the most comfortable and I’d probably trust him the most to deliver something edible at the end of the day.

(I’m sure his Bournemouth teammates will appreciate this quality in the future.)
