I'm not much of a theater dude, but a play is as good an excuse as any to get dressed up nice and go out on the town for a few hours.
So we went to see this odd little thing called Pippin, a musical that to my untrained eyes is certainly one of the more different/weird productions out there with absolutely no fourth wall, the greatest battle scene ever, and encouraged active participation with, at one point even, a bouncy-ball singalong. Oh, and acrobats. Lots of acrobats. The first half was hilarious and had us wondering just how many drugs the creators consumed and in what combination. The second half was much more serious, with a moral message and all that good stuff.
Not bad at all, overall, despite not having known anything about it going in.
