The season's over and this exercise is purely academic as this point, but as the greatest redemption story this season — from the back-to-back-to-back games with individual errors gifting goals to acting Captain of Chelsea's Premier League-winning side — it's nice to see Cahill at the top of the pile, if only barely.
Barely is also how he managed to keep Chelsea in the game in the first half with several crucial blocks and goal-line clearances to prevent Arsenal from increasing their lead.
This is only the third (3rd!) Man of the Match award for Cahill in WAGNH Player Ratings history, and his first in three years since the first leg of the Atlético Madrid Champions League match at the Bridge in 2014.

Costa continues to hate Arsenal, but he couldn't quite manage two goals against the odds after Victor Moses's red card.
Costa still managed one, getting on the end of substitute Willian's cross and bundling past the goalkeeper. Ospina did redeem himself not long after denying Costa from point-blank range. Trophy-winning save, that, from the surprise starter (with Čech on the bench).

And speaking of goalkeepers, as is WAGNH Player Ratings tradition, the goalkeeper gets a spot in the top three during unwelcome defeats such as this one.
Courtois, still just in the early stages of his career, hopefully has many more top threes to look forward to in these Player Ratings.
