Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea, FA Cup final: Post-match reaction

Well, that’s a crap way to end what was otherwise an excellent season.

Costa’s goal gave us hope for a second, but only a second, before Ramsey put Arsenal in front again. He had been making that run all game long and played a key part in both goals.

  • Unbelievably bad call(s) on Arsenal’s first goal, with Alexis handball ignored and Ramsey going for the ball in a clear offside position (and the linesman flagging)
  • Chelsea well out of it in the first 20 minutes, better after. Costa, Pedro both had great chances to equalize in first half.
  • Moses expected contact but the defender pulled his leg back. Clear dive, clear second yellow.
  • Still champions.
  • Onto the summer.
  • Carefree.
  • Next game: rematch against Arsenal in pre-season (July 22)
