N’Golo Kanté can’t stop winning Player of the Year awards

Safe to say, N’Golo Kanté is no longer in danger being underrated. If anything, he will soon be accused of being overrated because that’s how punditry and the Internet at large works. No middle opinions, only great and terribad. But I digress.

After being named PFA Players’ Player of the Year, FWA Player of the Year, and French Player of the Year, N’Golo Kanté has now been named EA Sports Premier League Player of the Year as well. This is the annual version of the Player of the Month awards, which run throughout the season. Kanté did not win any monthly awards, but his consistent excellence got him the main prize.

So that means that, in order, the players, the writers, his home nation, and the “experts” all think that he’s been the best, most influential, most key player in the league this season.

They’re not wrong.

Congrats, N’Golo. Here’s to many more awards and many more trophies at Chelsea!
