Chelsea have bagged yet another monthly award from the Premier League. Pedro has earned Goal of the Month for April thanks to his wicked left-footed blast against Everton.

To top it all off, Pedro’s goal beat out Tottenham’s Dele Alli who was also up for the award with a very nice curling effort into the corner against Watford. Yet another instance in which the Blues beat out Spurs for something.

To be completely honest, there were a lot of worthy candidates for this particular month. Roberto Firmino’s dipping volley against Stoke City was a strong contender, as was Xherdan Shaqiri’s long range bomb vs. Hull City. Nearly all of the candidates were probably worthy of winning.
In the end, Pedro won the vote of the Premier League’s panel of legends and dignitaries along with the public’s vote. It’s the second time this season Pedro’s won this award. The first was back in November, for his equally fantastic goal against Spurs, a near mirror image of his winning effort in April.
Congrats to Pedro and our condolences to Spurs. There’s always next season.
