Real Madrid are apparently “plotting” a £100m-move for Eden Hazard, but the man himself is expecting new contract talks with Chelsea instead. That’s the story from the Evening Standard’s Simon Johnson, though others have picked this up as well (with varying degrees of sensationalism) since it’s largely based on quotes that Hazard gave to Sky Sports, who will be broadcasting the match tonight.

Sky’s interview (you can watch it by following that link) opens with Hazard rating his own happiness an “8 or 9” out of 10 at the moment, leaving room for a potential Double to boost that up to a 10-out-of-10 at the end of the season. That’s his only focus at the moment.
“There is no sign of a new contract for the moment. I am focused on the last month, and we will talk later. It's not in my mind now. I have two or three years left. I just want to finish the season well and we will see afterwards."
Chelsea usually time new contracts for when players enter the final two years of their contracts, but it looks like we’ll be making a necessary exception for Hazard to put off the Real Madrid rumors once again.
Meanwhile, Hazard will also be working on the whole “selfish” thing, too.
"Fabregas is not the only one to say that to me. A lot of people say to me you need to be more selfish, but when I am on the pitch sometimes I prefer to pass the ball.”
“I try game after game to be more selfish. I know it's good for me to score more goals if I want to reach the level of Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo. I am working on it.”
