Smiles, nutmegs, intensity, and a bandaged knee on Eden Hazard in Chelsea training

Alright, so let’s start with those few seconds in this latest episode of Chelsea Unseen that show Eden Hazard greeting Olympian Joseph Schooling at Cobham with a bandaged knee. We can only hope that it’s precautionary or part of some normal maintenance like the bandages that David Luiz often sports on his knee (thanks, Aguero!). The last thing we need is Hazard suffering from a serious enough injury to make his performance against Manchester United last Sunday not a one-off. Hazard had been in tremendous form just prior to that game and he will be needed to be at his best tomorrow against Spurs.

In happier sequences, we see plenty of smiles and intensity from the boys as we prepare for this massive FA Cup semifinal. One notable absence is Thibaut Courtois, who’s recovering from a twisted ankle. The footage we see must’ve been shot a few days ago; by all indications, Courtois should be ready to go against Spurs.

The Chelsea U18s are facing a massive match this coming week as well, as they host Manchester City in the second leg of the FA Youth Cup final on Wednesday. The first leg finished 1-1 at the Little Etihad; Jody Morris and the kids have everything to play for. Looks like they’ve got their nutmeg-game dialed in!
