Chelsea’s newest sponsors, Sure (i.e. Rexona or Degree) have been very active in promoting their brand of antiperspirants using some of Chelsea’s biggest stars, including Eden Hazard of course who has his own 60-second spot about handling pressure. Here, they take a slightly more fun tact, putting Willian, Pedro, and Michy Batshuayi through a series of finishing drills they’re calling The Sure Pressure Series.
The three participants were challenged with four different goal-scoring situations. Each of them scored in three of the four scenarios (though Batshuayi got a little help from some questionable goalkeeping). With all three tied after the initial set of drills, the tiebreaker ended up being a free kick chance. Anyone who knows anything about Chelsea knows this was a pretty unfair way to decide a winner for this competition.
Predictably, it was the free kick master himself, Willian who converted his chance to win out in the end. However, this result will have a big asterisk by it in the Sure Pressure Series history books as it was the equivalent of Michael Jackson winning a dance-off. What else did you think would happen?
