West Ham United 1-2 Chelsea, Premier League: Post-match reaction

An early goal in the second half was all that Chelsea needed to lock down this win and the three points, which moves us ten points clear once again at the top of the Premier League.

Good game, good effort, good three points.  Late consolation from Lanzini did not matter.  Another step closer to the promised land.

  • Eden Hazard with his 11th of the season on the back of an excellent performance.
  • Costa gets his as well, third match in a row for him.  17th of the season to keep pace in the Golden Boot race.
  • N'Golo Kante is a cheatcode.
  • Earlier than usual switch to the 3-5-2 in the 65th minute with Matic arriving.  Fabregas has started three matches in a row in all competitions.
  • Azpilicueta at right wing-back for the final 15, Zouma as the right-sided center back.
  • The ten points could become eight points when Manchester City take on Stoke on Wednesday to get on 27 played like the rest of the league.
  • Next up: Manchester United in the FA Cup.  BIG game.  HUGE.  YUGE!
  • Carefree.
