The battle for Atalanta’s highly promising young midfielder Franck Kessié is shaping up to be a doozy. The 20-year-old was heavily linked with several teams in January already, including Chelsea and Manchester United and Juventus and just about every other big team out there, and his agent is certainly expecting to be a busy man this summer.
“There are at least 20 clubs following the lad, including the best in Europe.”
At least!
Napoli are just the latest name to be thrown into the hat apparently, but whoever wins the the honor of Kessie’s signature in the end, will have to pay up a fair amount.
“Aurelio De Laurentiis? We haven’t spoken to him yet. We’ll talk about the transfer market in June. Napoli is an attractive club, they have a great Coach [Maurizio Sarri].”
“His price? Whoever wants him will have to invest a lot.”

Atalanta had reportedly rejected a €25m offer from Chelsea in January and are holding out for something more in the region of €40m, which seems to be the standard price for any promising player in his early 20s.
