Following Chelsea's 1-0 win over Manchester United on Monday night, Spanish radio show El Partidazo de COPE conducted an interview with striker Diego Costa to discuss the result. Their main focus however was discussing transfer stories instead, which included Diego's links to China and the Real Madrid rumours about his teammates Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard.

While Diego’s words have already been twisted to be presented as a “massive hint” about Courtois joining Real Madrid, he said nothing massive at all in fact, especially if you listen to the actual interview.

"Many things were said about how I would move to China, but you can see that I am here [at Chelsea]. [At Atlético] I had a great moment, and this year I feel great. I hope the injuries respect me."

"Courtois is a great goalkeeper and Madrid always want great goalkeepers. He is happy here, but you do not know about the future. [But] Madrid can [fun] off if they want to take Courtois and Hazard. Hazard is a world-class player, so it is normal that everyone have their sights set on him."

Thibaut himself had an interview with another Spanish radio show, Onda Cero's El Transistor. When prompted the question on whether he would move to Madrid next season, given that his family lives in the city and the transfer links to Real Madrid, the goalkeeper was as assertive as one could hope he would be on his impending future.

"No. Right now I am enjoying the achievements we have reached here and I am focused on them. I speak English since I was ten."

"I am really enjoying my time here [at Chelsea] and I am focused on finishing the Premier League and winning the competition."

*cue the ultimate fail music*

But even in light of these latest quotes from Diego and Thibaut, you can safely bet that these transfer stories will not end. Something to look forward to then as we inch closer to the end of the season and the upcoming summer transfer window...
