Immediately after Chelsea beat Manchester United 1-0 in the FA Cup quarterfinal at Stamford Bridge, the draw for the Wembley semifinals were made.

Chelsea were ball no.1 in the draw and ball number one out of the urn and into Ruud Gullit’s hands. Out next was ball no.3, Tottenham Hotspur.

Thus, the draw in full for the 2016-17 FA Cup semifinals is as follows:

Chelsea vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Arsenal vs. Manchester City

For Chelsea, this will a rematch of the semifinal from the last time we won the FA Cup, in 2012, when Didier Drogba & Co spanked Spurs 5-1 at Wembley. There is no Drogba to score at Wembley this time around, but other will no doubt step up.

For the season, this will be our third meeting with Tottenham, both teams winning their home matches in the Premier League.

The semifinals will be played April 22 and 23, with the exact dates and times to be confirmed soon. Chelsea were due to play Southampton that weekend in the league; that match will be rearranged for a date and time to be announced later.
