Chelsea and Manchester United have played against each other 175 times in the last 112 years and while United lead the all-time series 72-50 (with 53 draws), the Blues have not lost to the Red Devils for 11 straight games.
It was the infamous Mark Clattenburg-game back in October 2012 that last saw a Manchester United triumph, with Chelsea mounting a two-goal comeback before Branislav Ivanović and, shockingly, Fernando Torres were both sent off and Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez scored one of his many goals against Chelsea.
Perhaps in a twist of karmic justice, since then it’s been all Chelsea. Eleven games, six wins, five draws, 21 scored, 12 conceded (and 9 of those conceded goals came in 2012-13 alone).
Can we keep this streak going tonight in the FA Cup quarterfinal?
