How should Chelsea line up against Burnley at Fortress Turf Moor on Sunday?

Matchday 25 coming up

It’s been a rather leisurely week at Chelsea so far, with the squad getting an extra day’s rest after beating Arsenal in the early game last Saturday. This weekend, Chelsea have the early game on Sunday, almost a full eight days after the last one. But I’m sure no one’s complaining about the extra recovery time to keep all the legs fresh, especially as there’s an FA Cup fifth round match away to Wolves to follow midweek.

While Burnley away does not sound like a tough proposition, a glance at their home record will quickly dissuade any such notions. The Clarets have more wins at home (9) then all but two teams in the league (Chelsea and Spurs). They have yet to win an away game (losing 10 of 11), but have lost just 3 of 13 at home in the league (to Swansea, Arsenal, and Manchester City). It’s a very strange record and one that lends itself nicely to surprises.

So, choose wisely (no injury issues or suspensions for yet another week for Chelsea.
