Of course it's the cardboard box shenanigans that dominate the first minute of the latest episode of Chelsea Unseen — how many millionaires can be entertained by one cardboard box? — but as the scene unfolds and Costa starts walking with it towards John Terry and Antonio Conte engaged in some deep discussion, I actually caught myself holding my breath. Surely, he won't? Maybe he'd pull the prank on JT, but surely not Conte? In the hierarchy of the training ground, you prank down, not up.
Sure enough, Costa makes a last second detour around the pair and receives a palpable slap from the Chelsea head coach. Well played, Antonio.
Then we see a few shots from the match that Cesc Fàbregas's red "Team Spain" won against blue-bibbed Team Brazil, which, best as I can tell, was made up of Costa, David Luiz, Kenedy, Willian, Eduardo in goal, and a young kid I don't readily recognize. There was also a yellow team, which included at least Gary Cahill and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Meanwhile, N'Golo Kanté and Eden Hazard and Michy Batshuayi were on the bib-less grey team. I'm sure more eagle-eyed readers can figure out the rest.
The rest of the video is more fun clips from training and the players milling about and having fun. After a couple lackluster weeks, this week's Unseen is top notch viewing.
