Chelsea have the early kick-off on Saturday, so we're now less than 48 hours away from the second big test this week.
The Blues were perhaps a bit unlucky to not collect all three points at Anfield on Tuesday, Mignolet saving Diego Costa's penalty kick to halt Liverpool's losing streak. On the other hand, a point gained is better than nothing at all, and thanks to results elsewhere, was an actual point gained in the title race as well. Chelsea are now nine points of clear of both second place and third place, the latter of which is currently occupied by this weekend's opponents, Arsenal.
While Chelsea are watching with slight concern the fitness of David Luiz (re-injured knee on Tuesday) and Eden Hazard (revealed to be carrying an minor injury for the last few weeks), Arsenal have all sort of problems themselves, most of them in midfield. Granit Xhaka is suspended because he doesn't know how to play without picking up red cards, Santi Cazorla is once again injured, Mohamed Elneny is possibly injured and also away at the Africa Cup of Nations (Egypt are in Sunday's final), and now Aaron Ramsey is expected to miss Saturday's game as well after a calf strain. Ramsey already had a minor hamstring strain going into Arsenal's loss to Watford on Tuesday, but now he could out be for a couple weeks.
So that leaves Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who's as much of a central midfielder as, say, Willian and Francis Coquelin whose continued existence as a Premier League starter is one of life's enduring mysteries. Arsenal's other options include youngsters Ashley Maitland-Niles and Jeff Reine-Adelaide, who have a combined 1 minute of Premier League experience.
Choose wisely! (Note the changed options in the formation field, with a specific choice between 3-4-3 and 3-5-2, as requested.)
