Let’s play FIFA 18: Everton vs. Chelsea

Simulating and playing Chelsea’s next Premier League match on FIFA 18. Can the virtual Blues beat the virtual Toffees?

In this series, I will use FIFA 18 to simulate as well as play the next Chelsea FC match -- with the difficulty on the highest level, because much like Chelsea FC, I occasionally like to make things difficult on myself for no reason whatsoever.

My shot at glory (with commentary):

For the starting lineup I have the following to take on the Toffees:

Courtois | Cahill, Christensen, Azpilicueta | Alonso, Bakayoko, Kanté, Moses | Pedro, Hazard, Willian

To be honest, I felt really good coming into this matchup. Despite not having a traditional striker in the starting lineup, I still felt good about breaking down Everton’s horrendous defensive unit. The Toffees had been playing much better recently under Sam Allardyce, I was hoping to see the Everton of Ronald Koeman.

I didn’t. Instead I saw the Big Sam, and he made my life difficult for a short time.

Side note, I apologize for those few second audio glitches that happen. I haven’t heard those before, and I’m working on figuring out why that happened.

Computer Simulation:

The lineup in the simulation is the same as above, Everton just couldn’t find the goal very well in this matchup. The nice recent run of wins comes to an end for the Toffees according to the simulation.
