The latest Chelsea Unseen dropped yesterday and perhaps due to the events midweek in Rome, features very little of the usual stuff that dominates this great segment from Chelsea TV. In fact, we only get a brief glimpse of pre-Roma training from both Stamford Bridge and the Stadio Olimpico in between stuff with Frank Lampard and the F2 Freestylers, David Luiz and Hublot foosball, and a bit of training football from Chelsea LFC. There’s nothing from after the game, which has been a far less happy time.
The Lampard segment is part of a longer video that was released last weekend, wherein Super Frank proves that class is permanent, especially when you’re Chelsea’s all-time leading goalscorer. If you haven’t seen this yet, you should watch it now.
Turns out Lampard’s pretty good at mobile football gaming, too! Is there anything this man can’t do??
And speaking of games, Stamford Bridge hosted the latest Hublot watch launch earlier this week as well, with dignitaries, journalists, and four Chelsea players present, including David Luiz, Cesc Fàbregas, Álvaro Morata, and Danny Drinkwater. Of course David Luiz was the star of the show. Who else?
Shout-out to Mail journalist and Chelsea fan Ollie Todd for getting dominated by the curly haired one in foosball! (Which reminds me, are UEFA looking into the fact that Chelsea fans were “held” for several hours at the stadium after Tuesday’s match yet?)
Can’t expect players to be on top form after an hour and a half locked up in the Stadio Olimpico, never mind this three games a week talk.— Oliver Todd (@oliver_todd) November 3, 2017
That said, as cool as it is to see foosball (I mean, who doesn’t like foosball, right?) and limited edition mega-expensive watches branded with the Chelsea badge and as beneficial I’m sure it is commercially to have Hublot as an official sponsor, I liked it better when the rest of us plebs could afford a Chelsea watch, too.
