In this series, I will use FIFA 18 to simulate as well as play the next Chelsea FC match -- with the difficulty on the highest level, because much like Chelsea FC, I occasionally like to make things difficult on myself for no reason whatsoever.
The Premier League is back after a win over Qarabag midweek. This feature was recorded before the midweek Champions League game, due to Thanksgiving (and the fact that Qarabag are not in FIFA 18). So the commentary and lineups were made before the Champions League win.
My shot at glory (with commentary):
Chelsea and Liverpool is a wonderful fixture. It’s great because of red versus blue, it’s amazing because of the offensive potential and talent that both teams have. Both sides can also be somewhat unpredictable which makes things a bit dicey and exciting. FIFA itself however tends not to take full advantage of the skills and talents of the likes of Salah, Mane, and Firmino.
(Ed. note: the scoreline that Josh forgets/represses, and understandably so, is Chelsea 1-2 Liverpool.)
For the starting lineup I have the following to take on the Reds:
Courtois | Cahill, Christensen, Azpilicueta | Alonso, Kante, Bakayoko, Zappacosta | Hazard, Morata, Pedro
(SPOILER ALERT: Eden Hazard rules!)
Computer Simulation:
The simulated lineup is the same as above, and it resulted in a 1-1 draw.
Let us know what you think of this feature and FIFA 18 in general in the comments!
