Premier League football may be on break, but Chelsea and Chelsea TV aren’t resting, with the players who are not involved in internationals completing several days of training — and picking up (minor?) injuries — some of which was featured in this week’s Chelsea Unseen video from the club’s in-house TV station.
The footage from the training ground is dated to the middle of the week, and before the concerning news about David Luiz and Tiemoué Bakayoko made the rounds. The squad have the weekend off, so we won’t know anything new about their situations until training resumes in the next couple days.
There’s also more behind the scenes footage from the Chelsea Ladies’ win over Rosangård; they will contest the second leg on Wednesday, with the Blues leading on aggregate 3-0.
Last but certainly not least, we have a few old heroes returning to the Bridge for a promotional video, including Eidur Gudjohnsen with whom there is a two-part interview on the official site that you should read. Also back were Gary Cahill-lookalike Wayne Bridge and Tore Andre Flo, who’s of course a coach at the Chelsea Academy these days.
Meanwhile, Frank Lampard’s been fulfilling some ambassadorial duties for the club in Japan, and highlights of that can be seen in this week’s Re-seen video.
