In this series, I will use FIFA 18 to simulate as well as play the next Chelsea FC match -- with the difficulty on the highest level, because much like Chelsea FC, I occasionally like to make things difficult on myself for no reason whatsoever.
The Premier League is back after a midweek win over Everton, so let’s see what FIFA 18 thinks will happen when Chelsea take on Bournemouth.
My shot at glory (with commentary):
For the lineups today I’m overjoyed to have N’Golo Kante back on the bench (ed.note: since Josh wrote/played this, Antonio Conte has basically ruled out Kante entirely from the game).
But for the starting lineup I have the following:
Courtois | Cahill, Luiz, Azpilicueta | Alonso, Fabregas, Bakayoko, Zappacosta | Hazard, Morata, Pedro
This outing did not go as planned. Despite my best efforts, grabbing a draw on the road against Bournemouth was what I had to settle for. I was not a big fan of that result, especially in light of the simulation’s result. But nevertheless, real Chelsea will probably fare much better than I did.
Computer Simulation:
The simulated lineup is the same as above. Chelsea were dominate in the simulation, including some major Bats glory going on. The simulation has been actually fascinating to watch recently, so check it out below.
Let us know what you think of this feature and FIFA 18 in general in the comments!
