I had just about zero motivation to put this thing together.  But here it is, in all its glorious badness.

Motivation is not something Chelsea seemed to be lacking on Wednesday.  Yet there it was, in all its glorious badness.

Actually, that doesn't make sense.  Motivation wasn't the problem.  Execution was.  And that's fixable, so onwards and upwards and all that.

(Matić was credited with 13 recovered balls in this game.  That's a monstrous number.)

This is Costa's lowest rated match of the season.

Courtois continues the fine tradition of Chelsea goalkeepers finishing in the top three for community player ratings in Chelsea losses (or draws).  While the big man probably could've done better on Dele's second goal (he neither cut out the cross nor did he position himself properly in anticipation of a header), he, like the rest of the team will no doubt bounce back.

Next up, Peterborough in the FA Cup, then Leicester away.  A trap game against Hull at home follows that, before a repeat of the back-to-back Liverpool and Arsenal matchups takes us into February.  Plenty of points to be won and plenty to fret about.  Football!
