While Chelsea's main focus remains on winning the Premier League, this weekend, the Blues made more progress in the FA Cup by beating Josh McEachran’s Brentford 4-0 at home and advance to the fifth round of the competition (the draw for which will be on Monday).
As one of the veterans who took the stage alongside some of Chelsea's more prominent youngsters, midfielder Cesc Fàbregas was happy that the Blues avoided the mystique of the “Magic of the Cup™”, unlike our upcoming opponents Tuesday night, Liverpool.
"It is better to learn from other teams’ mistakes like what happened to Liverpool and we saw that. It is a big lesson before you go onto the pitch that you have to give 100 per cent. There were a lot of different faces for this game but a professional job. We did well, we gave it all and we are pleased."
Speaking of Liverpool — while Fàbregas is likely to drop to the bench for the start of this one, he’s concentrating on preparing as well as possible in the short time frame to kick-off.
"We have three days to prepare well and I am sure the manager and the team will do the best we can to prepare for what I hope will be a fantastic game and a win for us."

Chelsea have lost only three games all season, one of which was to Liverpool at home. Inflicting a matching defeat on the Reds at Anfield would be tremendous.
