Even if Fernando Llorente does not end up at Chelsea this season, he’s already done one very nice thing for the Blues’ title challenge. His goals and overall performance were most crucial in Swansea City’s unbelievable 3-2 win at Anfield earlier on Saturday. After the win, which moved the Swans off the bottom of the table, head coach Paul Clement reiterated his desire to keep hold of the Spanish veteran.
“He played very well today. Am I afraid to lose him? I want to keep him here and the reason I want to keep him here is what he showed today. I think his performance was very good.”
“The first time I was involved in this team was Crystal Palace and he showed all the qualities he had in that game. If you get the right kind of service into him he is a goalscorer but you have to give him service.”

Chelsea can help out our former assistant manager by not giving Hull City any points tomorrow and thus ensuring that the Swans finish the matchweek outside of the relegation zone.
As far as Llorente, the rumors had gone a bit quiet over the past week, through perhaps that was just due to getting usurped by the Costa rumors. Conte supposedly rates Llorente almost as much as Clement does, and does not seem to rate Batshuayi beyond cup appearances and late cameos. Swansea would be pretty silly to allow a move, but you never do know in Silly Season.
