It is undeniable that Michy Batshuayi has not gotten off the greatest of starts at Chelsea. In his first season at the club he’s appeared 16 times in all competitions, with 13 of those coming as a substitute in the league. He has notched a few goals along the way, but it’s clear that he is not yet fulfilling his full potential.
Rumors of a loan or even a permanent transfer have inevitably popped up, but nothing seems to be imminent. To his credit, Michy has stayed positive and supportive through his rough time, even taking the chance to defend his manager Antonio Conte for not using him as much as his own fans think he should be used.
One passionate fan tweeted a sarcastic response to a photo posted by the striker featuring Eden Hazard.
@mbatshuayi wish our coach would respect you more.

Michy made sure to defend Conte and clear the air of any doubt.

There you have it. All is well between player and manager. Hopefully the on-field results for Michy get better and he is allowed more chances soon, but there doesn’t seem to be any bitterness over the situation.
