Young Charly Musonda returned early from his disappointing loan at Real Betis in La Liga and once he got past the minor injuries he had been carrying, has been training with the Chelsea first-team going on for about a month now. As one of the most promising youngsters to come out of the Chelsea system in recent years, hopes are high that he can become a prominent member of the first-team sooner or later as well.
Given Antonio Conte’s willingness to use youngsters in certain situations, it’s not quite a foregone conclusion that Musonda would head out on loan for the second half of the season as well (possibly to AS Roma). In fact, the 20-year-old has been conducting an aggressive social media campaign to show just how much he’s enjoying his time back at Chelsea.
Here he is schmoozing it up with his big bro Eden Hazard.
Here he is showing off his dedication to hard work.
And here he is saying that he’s “happy here” in a now deleted Instagram post. Musonda and deleting social media posts go hand-in-hand like Chelsea and loanees.
While Conte opted against using Musonda in the FA Cup match this past weekend, which would’ve prevented any loans the rest of this season, it’s not yet a foregone conclusions that the kid will be sent out once again.
