Costa sure loves playing Swansea City, does he not?  He now has seven goals total in the four games he's played against the Swans.

In this one, he was probably one glaring miss away from a perfect outing. I'm still not quite sure how he contrived to miss a tap-in from two yards out, but he did score on two other occasions.

Do note the number of fouls drawn.

Back-to-back second places for the midfielder who's quickly shaping up to be Chelsea's most irreplaceable player.

It's perhaps worthwhile to contrast Leicester City's early-season struggles without the midfielder and Chelsea's improved fortunes with the midfielder, who has, by and large, been the one big difference in terms of first-choice playing personnel for the past two seasons.

May this long continue:

3. CESC FÀBREGAS - IMPACT SUB 6.9

It may not please everyone, least of all Fàbregas himself, but it sure is nice to be able to call on instant creativity when needed in late-game situations.

Cesc did not get an official assist on Chelsea's equalizer, but it was his pass that started the move that eventually led to Costa smashing a bicycle kick off a defender's face.  Tertiary assists FTW!
