A fairly straightforward afternoon for Chelsea so far, with the hosts mostly quiet and contained and Chelsea leading 1-0 through a very well-taken goal from Diego Costa. Who also has a yellow card, so he's well on his way to a Diego Costa hat-trick. (He has gotten two players booked, meanwhile.)
And he also has a glaring miss from about 2 yards out, as does Eden Hazard 1-v-1 with Swansea goalkeeper Fabianski. Chelsea have bossed the game to a great extent and could be or perhaps should be up by more than just the one-goal margin on the balance of play. Other than a Sigurdsson long-ranger and one dangerous-looking counter, Swansea have not threatened, thanks largely to Chelsea's midfield trio of Matic, Kanté, and Oscar once again putting in a great shift (especially Kanté, but that goes without saying).
Everyone else is looking solid, with room to improve. Need to get Hazard more involved and need to get Willian on the same page as everyone else. One up and more to go.
Come on, Chelsea!
