After his first week at Chelsea Football Club, big summer signing N'Golo Kante sat down with Chelsea TV for the traditional first interview. It should be noted that this is by far the longest preview I ever recall Chelsea publishing of such a player interview, putting up 90 seconds of the three-minute video available on FanClubPlus+ plus plus plus.
They'll make a real YouTube channel out themselves yet!
But back to Kante, who, as the head coach described him in a recent press conference, does indeed come across as a shy, soft-spoken man. There is little doubt however of his abilities, ambition, and aim to help Chelsea get back to where we belong.
"When I came to Chelsea, I knew it was a big club and I'm excited because next season will be very difficult."
"I chose Chelsea because I spoke with the manager here and when I did that, I felt the capacity of the manager and that is why I made my decision."
"And of course I like Premier League football and that is why I decided to stay in the Premier League."

Opting for the challenge of Chelsea after winning the Premier League with Leicester, and foregoing guaranteed Champions League for the challenge of qualifying for the Champions League is certainly an interesting choice, but it sounds like the midfielder is ready to make Conte and the Chelsea fans some beautiful memories.
"I need to get fit because I have just come from a holiday, I had a little break since the Euros, and now the pre-season comes and I have to be ready for the Premier League. I think what is important to fight for winning the ball it is the spirt. I have had that since I started playing football, so it is the spirit but I need to be fit for doing it."
"Like everyone I am sometimes tired, but if I need to run I will try to run."
