Hazard's second Man of the Match already, and a 9+ rating to boot, which is something he didn't accomplish last season until the very, very end.  We can safely say that Hazard's back, I think.  I hope.

The thing that stands out the most in these first few games of the season is Hazard's new-found knack for shooting.  He led the team with seven (7!!) on Saturday, giving him 14 for the season, which is good for third place in the Premier League behind Philippe Coutinho and Sergio Aguero (both on 15).  Hazard's average for his Chelsea career has been right around two per match.  This season, he's averaging more than twice as much!

Keep it up!

2. N'GOLO KANTÉ - MC 8.7

Plaudits poured in for the diminutive midfielder after the clinic he put on against Burnley's midfielders.  All well deserved.

The best part about Kanté is that he's making/allowing others to play at their best, too.  Oscar has been a man reborn so far this season, while on Saturday, even Nemanja Matić looked like a proper footballer again.  That trio looked fantastic; it's no wonder Fàbregas can't get a look in just yet.

3. WILLIAN - AMR 8.1

Chelsea's reigning Player of the Year opened his goalscoring account on the weekend and he looks fully recovered from whatever minor calf ailment was bothering him.

It was not a free kick goal — that bounty seems to have dried up and exhausted itself — but rather a quick shot lasered through the defender's legs and past the excellent Heaton before he even knew it.  Here's to many more.

STARTERS:
Courtois (7.1), Azpilicueta (7.6), Terry (7.4), Cahill (7.2), Ivanović (7.0), Kanté (8.7), Matić (7.7), Oscar (7.6), Hazard (9.2), Costa (7.2), Willian (8.1)

SUBS:
Moses (7.8), Batshuayi (7.1), Pedro (7.2)
