Over the past month and change, Chelsea have been putting in a lot of hard work to rebound from last season’s disaster. Double training sessions and brand new dietary restrictions (which Hazard, famously plumpy last summer, confirmed as well) were just a couple features of preseason as the team try their best to pick up the pieces and get back to being title contenders.
All that hard work is starting to pay off, and Monday’s win against West Ham was one of the more confidence-inspiring games seen at Stamford Bridge over the past year. Man of the Match Eden Hazard’s now looking to build on that, to once again help Chelsea strike fear into the hearts of our opponents.
"If you win the first few games all the other teams will see that and say you are ready for the Premier League. It scares them. If you don’t start well, you can still be champions at the end but it’s always better if you can win your first games."
"We know it’s a strong League, where you don’t know who will be champions at the start of the season. We hope it will be Chelsea, of course, but we know we have to fight for every game."

One match at a time, as the cliche goes. Next up: Watford.
