EA Sports unveils new FIFA 17 trailer, adds two former Chelsea stars to Ultimate Team

So much Chelsea content in this year’s game

With the beginning of the European league seasons finally upon us, we’re inching ever so closer to the start of video game season. Both FIFA 17 and Pro Evolution 17 will be released in September. Yesterday at the yearly video game convention known as GamesCom, EA Sports unveiled a ton of new information about their latest installment of their wildly popular FIFA series.

A brand new trailer was shown off. It features tons of Premier League stars and managers.

A few Chelsea moments include, N'Golo Kanté making a brilliant sliding tackle on a helpless attacker and Eden Hazard appearing to score a great goal from outside the box.

The graphics in this year’s game look truly next generation thanks to the newly adopted Frostbite engine. Everything just looks so much crisper and realistic. For example, here’s a look at what Stamford Bridge will look like in the game:

That’s not the only Chelsea related piece of news to come out of GamesCom yesterday. EA Sports announced 10 new legend cards that are exclusive to Xbox. Among the 10 new additions is former Chelsea midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron (and Emmanuel Petit, too!).

Legend cards are used in a mode called FIFA Ultimate Team. They are collected by opening packs of cards and are extremely rare to find. Veron (and Petit) join Andriy Shevchenko, Hernan Crespo, Deco, Ruud Gullit, and Gianfranco Zola as other Chelsea Ultimate Team representatives in the game.

It’s shaping up to be a great year for the FIFA series. Will you be playing this year’s game?
