We may be feeling a bit better about Chelsea's backline after Monday night's performance than we were before, especially with Gary Cahill conjuring up the strong performance against a big man that we've been waiting for since 2012, but the probable reality remains that the back four of Azpilicueta, Terry, Cahill, and Ivanović probably won't be able to deal with all opponents as well as they did with Andy Carroll.
We may be wrong of course; which is perhaps why Chelsea aren't panicking, and, as Antonio Conte has pointed out several times before, are waiting for the right players to sign.
"It's important to have contact every day with the club. The market is very crazy, the club know my ideas and it's important to find the right solution to improve this team, not to buy for the sake of it."
"We are waiting for the right solution but I'm very happy to have these players because every day they show me a great attitude. There are two weeks and we'll pay attention, if we find the right solution that's fine."

One right solution could presumably be Kalidou Koulibaly, or perhaps Nikola Maksimovic, or a combination of the two, with the latter going to Napoli to replace the former who would then be allowed to leave. Other names had been floated about, but nothing serious has come of any of Lindelof, Mustafi, et al. It seems to be Koulibably or bust, which would fit the stated m.o. of just the right player(s) and nothing else.
Chelsea might be looking to reinforce in other departments, too — Lukaku, for example, as frivolous as such a purchase would be — but hopefully the right signing(s), if any, will also be made at the right position(s).
