UPDATE:
This morning, Chelsea have confirmed the squad list as well, including Nathaniel Chalobah and Ola Aina keeping their numbers 29 and 34, respectively.

Last night, the bottom news ticker on Chelsea TV scrolled by with some interesting news, not yet confirmed elsewhere. Fortunately, we have the eagle eyes of @ChelseaYouth to capture these for posterity.
Now updated with confirmed 2016-17 squad numbers, most notably RLC taking Traore's 14. https://t.co/a6XGqlxX0y

The ink was barely dry on Bertrand Traore's loan move to Ajax before Ruben Loftus-Cheek swooped in to grab the suddenly vacant #14. See, he can move fast when he wants to! The number has been worn by the likes of Craig Burley, Graeme Le Saux, Geremi, and more recently, Andre Schurrle. Switching from #36 to a more "proper" number probably means good things for Loftus-Cheek's first-team prospects.
Chelsea TV also confirmed that Victor Moses and Juan Cuadrado have kept their preseason numbers, 15 (last worn by Djilobodji) and 17 (last worn by Pedro), respectively. Kenedy was still listed with #16, but Miazga (and his #20) were absent, probably indicating that a loan move is nearing completion. Getting or keeping a number doesn't rule out a future loan move (see: Cuadrado, last season, or Traore just now, or Moses before) but not getting a number all but confirms it.
