Adidas release perfectly bland 2016-17 third shirt for final act as Chelsea kit manufacturer

Proving all the shirt leaks correct once again, Chelsea and adidas have released the 2016-17 third kit this morning.  Aaaaand it's ... well ...

Huh?

What are we talking about again?  Sorry, I dozed off.

In fairness, it's lacking such silly design features are the faded lion pyjama pattern of the home shirt, or randomly clashing colors and stripes of the away, but just a bit more visual interest wouldn't have gone amiss.

Here's a promo video released alongside side it by adidas.  No, I don't know what any of it means either, but Diego Costa turns into a cartoon character at the end, which is certainly not something I expected on first viewing.

This now completes adidas's obligations as far as the season's kits are concerned.  With Nike coming in next summer, this is the final shirt in an almost decade-long partnership.  Goodbye, adidas!
