One of the stranger transfer rumors to emerge over the last few days has been a supposed inquiry from Chelsea about former Premier League and Serie A standout Carlos Tévez. Tévez, now 32, and playing back in Argentina, claimed that Antonio Conte personally called him to try to recreate their fruitful working relationship from their Juventus days.
When Conte was asked about this on Wednesday, he just smiled and gave a diplomatic dismissal of the whole situation.
"Carlos was my player when I was coach at Juventus and I had a fantastic season with him and I appreciated Carlos as a player and also as a man. But now I know he is a player of Boca Juniors and he did a lot back in Argentina last season and I wish the best for him and his family."

While this doesn't exactly confirm the veracity of the rumor, it would appear that even if Conte did consider such a move, it's definitely off the cards.
