Nathan Ake is coming off of a successful season that saw him become an important player for Watford while on loan. He started in 24 matches in all competitions for the Hornets and even scored his first professional goal in the Premier League against Liverpool in December.
Ake will now return to Chelsea to try and fight for his place in the squad. He's using the offseason to continue to work hard and stay in shape as his Instagram post today proves (motion sickness warning):
The 21-year-old defender spoke at length in April about what signing for Chelsea meant to him and how his success at Watford could shape his future.
There's just no telling what his future at Chelsea looks like with a new manager coming in very soon. With John Terry returning for another year, it could mean another year out on loan for the youngster. We shall see, though.
