Alongside now Sir Roderick Stewart, one of the over 1000 people honored in this year's Queen's Birthday Honours is Chelsea Ladies Football Club manager Emma Hayes.  On Friday, Chelsea's Double-winning manager became a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for "services to football".  Congratulations!

On behalf of everybody at Chelsea Football Club, I would like to congratulate Emma on this fantastic honour. It is richly deserved and testament to many years of hard work and dedication. Emma is a pioneer for the Ladies' game and a superb role model. We are very proud of her achievements with us over the past four years and long may it continue.

London-born Hayes has been Chelsea LFC manager since 2012.  We profiled her earlier this year, when Evan Davis, who's currently helping SB Nation cover the Euros and Copa America, got to meet and interview her at the 2016 NSCAA Convention in Baltimore, MD.  You should read it (again).
