Pachuca held a 1-0 lead going into the second leg. That ridiculous sequence kept Monterrey off the board (as did a missed penalty a few minutes prior), but not for long: three minutes later they got one to even up the two-legged final. And then, with Pachuca down to 10 men, in added-on time in regulation, this happened.
What a ridiculous game this was. Pachuca's 6th title (all since 1999); first since 2007.
