Instead, this goal by the Chelsea loanee has given the club another season in the German top flight.
Djilobodji joined Chelsea in September from Ligue 1 side Nantes. After just one League Cup appearance in five months, he was loaned out to Bremen where he has been an important part of their fight to stay in the Bundesliga.
Some like to criticize Chelsea's transfer policy of buying players in excess and loaning them out.
