Terry expected to return to full training as he bids for final on-pitch farewell to Chelsea

Reports on Wednesday night from the likes of The Sun and the Daily Mail claim that captain John Terry is set to return to training today (Thursday) as the squad begin preparations for Monday's massive derby under the lights against Tottenham Hotspur.

Terry has missed ten of the last dozen Chelsea games, attempting a comeback last month that ended in yet another injury after just a couple appearances.  JT is desperate to play, but after last weekend's win against Bournemouth, interim manager Guus Hiddink claimed that he would only start Terry against Spurs if the captain managed to complete at least two days of training (with the rest of the group, rather than individually) without any issues.

"We play on Monday week so he needs to step up with the group by Thursday at least for him to face Tottenham."

Normally, this wouldn't be such a huge deal, and Terry could take his time to recover properly over the summer, but it's quite likely that these final few games will be the last for him in a Chelsea shirt.  A final farewell to the fans in our final two home games this season (Spurs on Monday and champions elect Leicester City a fortnight later on the final day).  Final, final, final, final.  Final.
