The Daily Hilario: Playoff hockey

Your daily dose of off-topic shenanigans.

One of the best times of the year, the NHL playoffs is well underway but things aren't going quite so well for my rooting interest, the Chicago Blackhawks.  The defending Stanley Cup champions, through a combination of bad luck, bad finishing, and tremendous goalkeeping from Brian Elliott find themselves trailing 3-1 in the first round series against division rivals St. Louis Blues, with Game 5 a must-win back in St. Louis.  Game 4 was a must-win, too, but alas, a horrible call in the final few minutes denied the Hawks any real chance of finishing the comeback.  Of course, they only have themselves to blame for losing the lead in the game in the first place.

Sigh.  More sports disappointment.

(Maybe.  If anyone can come back, it's the Blackhawks.)
