Throw another log onto the Diego Costa exit rumor fire.
This one comes courtesy of France Football, who claim that superagent Jorge Mendes has been busy whispering in PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi's ear about the Chelsea man. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic looking for one last challenge and leaving near-Paris orbit this summer, apparently Costa is being put forward as the perfect replacement for the minor celestial body. (A penny for Edinson Cavani's thoughts at this juncture?)
The report goes on to claim that Chelsea are looking for around €60m for the fourth most prolific striker in the major European leagues since 2012, and that we would be willing to let him go because new boss Antonio Conte isn't sure he can count on the often controversial, baggy-shorts wearing provocateur.
On the other hand, the Daily Mail claim precisely the opposite, that Conte is "keen" on keeping Costa and that the player himself also wants to stay (despite the consistent media- and FA-targeting that he's getting).
So, take your pick. Choose your own adventure. Turn to page 154. There you will find the answer. Or at least the answer that has as much chance of becoming true as any of these rumors.
