No pressure; it's only the biggest game of the season.
Both Chelsea and PSG had this match on their minds considering the weekend's results. Now, less than 48 hours ahead of kick-off, it's time to start contemplating the tough questions. Who plays left back? Who plays alongside Mikel? What will our attacking trio look like?
In a way, regardless of lineups chosen, this match will come down to whichever team wants it more. Sure, that's a huge cliché, but consider the outcomes of the last two second legs in knockout games between these two. In 2014, Chelsea came back from 3-1 down thanks a last-gasp Demba Ba goal. Outside of the Napoli comeback in 2012, I'm not sure I've ever heard the Bridge louder than that magical night. A year later, after Chelsea took the lead, it were PSG who fought on and fought back as if they were Chelsea at the Nou Camp, down a man, down a couple goals, glorious winners at the end of the day.
Now it's 2-1 to the French champions. A slight advantage, but certainly not insurmountable thanks to that away goal. So, who wants it more?
Choose wisely.
(At this time, Terry, Zouma, and Falcao are all expected to miss out, while Pedro and Kenedy are major and minor doubts, respectively.)
