Chelsea have long been rumored to be heading to the United States yet again this summer, and on Tuesday, we saw confirmation of a trio of friendlies to be be played on US soil. The full International Champions Cup schedule for 2016 was released, showing not only a trio of fixtures for the Blues, but also the rest of a very interesting field.

Two of Chelsea's three contests are set, with the Blues taking on Liverpool on July 27, before heading to Minnesota to face AC Milan on August 3. The club also has a match yet to be scheduled against Real Madrid, though one would assume that match would be played between the other two, likely on the final day of July. Where that match will be played will certainly be interesting, but with Chelsea and Real Madrid being involved, one would assume it would be in one of the nation's larger markets.

Update: The Real Madrid match will be played in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in front of 100,000+

We'll have to wait to here more about that third fixture, and I'm sure that we'll hear of one or two more friendlies to be played in the buildup to the new season. Hopefully, those friendlies will be a first opportunity to see quite a few new stars.
