Matt Law of The Telegraph brings what is presumably the club's view on recent concerning events, like the knock-on effect from Kurt Zouma's season-ending, potentially career-altering injury.

As expected, at least for now, Chelsea are not altering their plans as far as John Terry's contract extension goes, though it's once again pointed out that whoever might eventually become the new manager could have a final say.  Of course, it might be too late by then, depending on just how long and haw staunchly Terry insist on continuing to have this conversation in public.

A couple interesting additional claims from The Telegraph's report include that Chelsea will "redouble" efforts to John Stones this summer — an expected outcome, though nowhere near a guaranteed one — and that we will look into recalling Andreas Christensen and giving him a proper shot.  While that sounds lovely and interesting and hopeful, and it could also validate the work we've put into the loan system, Gladbach director Max Eberl claimed just the other day that there is no recall clause in the two-year loan deal for the 19-year-old center back.

Meanwhile, fanciful reports in Italy are back on the Thiago Silva hype train.  This was a throwaway rumors last month and I suspect it's once again much of the same from TMW, but here it is anyway.  We'll of course be playing against Thiago Silva & Co in a week's time, so expect that to provide some false circumstantial evidence to this rumor.  Secret meetings!  Exclusives!
