Chelsea's pursuit of Antonio Conte is conte-nuing at pace, with yesterday morning's rumors of an agreement "in principle" followed up later in the day by rumors of further talks coming up later this week. Thursday, to be exact, if Di Marzio's crystal ball is at all correct.
Chelsea will meet with the former Juventus manager's intermediaries in London on Thursday to define the details and try to complete the agreement.

Others claim the deal could be signed, sealed, delivered and even announced "as early as next month". That would be a fairly new way of doing business for us, as far as I can remember, but the earlier we get this done, the better, both in terms of future plans and transfers and current players' contracts and any possible extensions.
Meanwhile, Chelsea Technical Director Michael Emenalo was apparently in Turin to watch Juventus come from two down in the final half hour to salvage a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich. This has resulted in yet another midfielder getting linked with Chelsea as Conte's first signing. After Paul Pogba, Radja Nainggolan, it's now apparently Arturo Vidal whom we could be welcoming to Stamford Bridge alongside the new manager. We could do worse, I suppose.
