|1. OSCAR - AMR||9.5|
If there's a knock against Oscar's performance on Sunday, it's that he probably should've had two hat-tricks, not just one, in the hour or so that he played. In fact, he probably missed the two easiest chances he got, a third was stolen off his toes by Diego Costa (who somehow also promptly contrived to miss), and he even passed up a penalty kick.
But a hat-trick is a hat-trick, even if the opposition are lowly MK Dons who seemed to have zero concept of what "defending" may be. So let's enjoy; seeing as how we're not in La Liga, they don't come along all that often.
Oscar now has 8 goals on the season, one more than he had all of last season. And while he's usually invaluable to the team, he's most often remembered for his goals (who can forget that game against Juventus, for example). Well done, kid.
|2. EDEN HAZARD - AML||8.0|
Welcome back, Eden Hazard. Again, the caveat that this was just MK Dons applies, but it's been a while since we've seen Hazard consistently create as much havoc as he did on Sunday.
Despite that, it did look like his ridiculous goalless streak would continue (he once again hit the post, for example, after a tremendous save by the goalkeeper), but hat-trick man Oscar gave up his chance for a 4th from the penalty spot and unlike earlier in the season, Hazard made no mistake. Goal #1 of the season, #50 of his Chelsea career. Onwards and upwards!
