|1. DIEGO COSTA - FC||8.9|
Three Man of the Match awards in the last six games for Costa; four since the sacking of Mourinho. I suppose that's to be expected after scoring 8 goals in 10 matches.
Costa now has 11 goals on the season, 10 of those in the Premier League. That gives him 30 league goals in his Chelsea career (in just 48 appearances), which, despite his struggles at times in 2015, still places him in elite category.
Now we need him to do it in the Champions League, too.
|2. PEDRO - AML||8.7|
Chelsea's highest rated match of the season, Pedro's highest rated game since his debut. Coincidence? Probably. But as Guus Hiddink said, it's nice to see Pedro rewarded for his hard work.
While it does turn out that it's a bit easier to put up gaudy numbers when playing alongside Messi & Co, and Pedro has certainly had his troubles with bad turnovers and such, two goals are two goals and so we better recognize.
|3. WILLIAN - AMC, AMR||8.6|
This is the 20th time that Willian has made the top three, twice as much as either of the next two (Diego Costa and Cesar Azpilicueta are both on 10 total).
Willian's goal was the 9th of the season, which gives him one more than he had in his first two seasons in a Chelsea shirt combined. It is, in fact, a new career high, eclipsing the 8 he scored for Shakhtar in 2008-09 and 2010-11.
